RECIPE: Coleslaw

coleslaw recipe



1 head of shredded cabbage (about 4 cups)
1-2 cups of shredded carrots
1 cup sugar
1/4 vinegar
1 cup mayo
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon pepper


  1. Shred cabbage & carrot.
  2. In a separate bowl mix together sugar and vinegar until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add remaining ingredients to sugar mixture.
  4. Add shredded cabbage & carrots to sugar mixture and mix well.

For best flavor refrigerate for several hours or overnight before serving.

My husband absolutely LOVES Coleslaw! He says he can live on coleslaw alone! So I have been experimenting with coleslaw this summer and I think I found the winning ingredients. At least my husband says this is the best yet!
