Homemade: Crochet Bun Cover

Homemade is a series about making more items and gifts yourself in an effort to save money! Hopefully it will inspire you to make some of your own homemade items and share them with us.

In addition to making my little ballerinas crochet leg warmers, I also made them bun covers. These were a special gift that they found in their Christmas stocking. (I tried to make each child one homemade item for Christmas this year.) You can find instructions and a video tutorial for these bun covers at CrochetGeek. These were very quick to make, however a word of caution… attaching the crystals were a little challenging!

I strung all the crystals on the thread before I started to crochet and slipped them into the stitch where I wanted them. Simple enough I thought, but trying to keep the thread tight and hook around the crystal where a little challenging, but I think it turned out great!

Check out many more crochet project ideas on my Crafts: Crochet Projects Pinterest board!

Have you made anything recently? It doesn’t have to be crochet, we would love to here about it in the comments below! Who knows, maybe we will feature your project in our series!
