HOMESCHOOL: September in Review

Here are some of the fun homeschool activities that we did during the month of September!

map drill My second grader is rockin in Geography! (Would you believe that I am learning too!) She knows way more in second grade then I learned in all my years in public school! I give all the credit to our weekly map drills.
preschool math My preschooler is LOVING her math! She is so excited to ‘do school’ with her big sister! Here you can see her using Melissa & Doug Pattern Blocks & Boards.
math fun Here my second grader got to take a break from her Math-U-See and use her blocks to build a three story apartment building!
ballet The girls started ballet in September and are loving it! We were so lucky to find a homeschool girl who just started teaching classical ballet to other homeschool girls.
english We are really enjoying English for the Thoughtful Child. We are finding that some of the lessons can be lengthy so we simply choose one of the exercises to keep time short and lessons fun.
seeding grapes The girls helped me de-seed grapes so I could make Grape Jam, Grape Pie and Grape Juice! We also anxiously awaited the arrival of our new baby that was due at the end of September!

What fun things have you been doing with your homeschool? We would love to hear about them in the comments below!
